2. ELIGIBILITY, ENTRY, ENTRY FEE & AWARDS
2.1 Each competitor shall be under 19 years of age during the series and must be a member of an SCYA or SCYYRA club.
2.2 Competitors must enter both the individual regatta and the Perry Series. To enter the Series, a competitor must register via the internet at either www.scyyra.org  or at http://www.regattanetwork.com/clubs/scyyra.html . A competitor may enter the series at the first or second scheduled regatta, but no later than the start of the first race of the second regatta.  Competitors will receive 1) email receipt of successful on-line entry and 2) email notification for registration changes.
2.3 There will be a $60 series entry fee payable online to SCYYRA.  The Series entry fee includes T-shirts for each skipper and crew.
2.4 Trophies will be awarded to the top places in the Perry Series.

3. CLASS MEMBERSHIP
Competitors (skipper & crew) must be members in good standing of the Club 420 Class Association.  Membership can be obtained on the Club 420 Class website at www.club420.org.  Please include your Club 420 Class membership number when completing your online entry.  Class membership information will be verified.

4. RULES
Each regatta will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing for 2009-12, the prescriptions of US SAILING, the Perry Series Standing Rules as published in the 2011 SCYYRA Year Book; the Club 420 Class Rules; this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions issued by each club.

5. SCORING
5.1 Perry Series scoring shall be based on the official results of each race tabulated only against other Perry Series entrants.
5.2 Perry Series scoring shall be in accordance with US Sailing Appendix A9.
5.3 For the Perry Series a DNC is defined as not registering for a Perry Series Regatta and shall be scored the number of entries in the Perry Series plus one.
5.4 Ties will be broken using US SAILING Appendix A. If a tie still exists, the winner shall be the yacht ahead in the final race that the two participating yachts both started.
5.5 Throwout races will be incorporated into the series scoring with the following formulas:
If 14-15 races are completed, there will be 1 throwout
If 16-17 races are completed, there will be 2 throwouts
If 18-19 races are completed, there will be 3 throwouts
If 20 or more races are sailed, there will be 4 throwouts
5.6 Sail number changes must be reported to the Perry Series Chairman Jon Rogers and reported to the race committee before the first race each day.
