1. Rules
This regatta will be governed by the "rules" as
defined in the 2001-04 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Shadden Series
Standing Rules as published in the 2003 SCYYRA Year Book and the 2002-03
Shadden Perpetual Trophy Series Notice Of Race.
2. Eligibility
This regatta is open to CFJ Class boats whose skipper and crew are
members of an SCYA or SCYYRA yacht club. Either skipper or crew must
be a member in good standing of the CFJ Class.
3. Entry
A completed SDYC Entry Form with signature of competitor and/or
parent or guardian must be submitted to the SDYC Junior Office by 1000
hours on Saturday, January, 31st 2004. There is a $15 entry
fee. Boats not already registered in the Shadden Series may compete
in this regatta, but will not be scored in the Shadden Series.
4. Schedule of Events
Entry Deadline and Competitors meeting will be at 1000. The courtesy
tow leaves the dock at 1030. Warning signal for the first race is 1155.
5. Racing
The racing area will be outside San Diego Bay southeast of the Zuniga
Jetty. The Race Committee will attempt to conduct six races.
6. Sailing Instructions
The Sailing Instructions will be available at the SDYC Junior Sailing
Office by 0900 on Saturday Jan. 31.
7. Scoring
This regatta will be scored as provided in RRS Appendix A using
the Low Point System. Two races will constitute a regatta.
8. Hospitality
There will be a trophy snack for Shadden competitors after racing.
9. Trophies
Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams at the regatta.
